The most attractive bays of the Pacific Ocean are to be found in Huatulco, in the state of Oaxaca. The clear water and smooth waves over there will enable you to practice all sorts of water sports as well as to enjoy the intimacy of the practically empty beaches.

Bahias de Huatulco (Bays of Huatulco) is located 297km south of the city of Oaxaca. It is a lovely destination for all beach-lovers for it embodies a perfect combination of nature and modern hotel complexes which so far have extended to two of the nine bays in total.

Tangolunda, one of the biggest bays in the area and the most developed one, has a beautiful beach with silky waves, ideal for water sports such as swimming, surfing, fishing, sailing and cruising. In front of its elegant hotels there is a malecón (marine drive) where one can feel the soft morning breeze. There is also a golf course and a commercial area.

The bay of Santa Cruz, close to the town which carries the same name, provides its visitors with a magnificent variety of hotels, excellent restaurants and a dock from where one can take a boat to go for a diving tour in the reefs.

In the Bahía Chahué you will find beautiful beaches where the waves are perfectly adequate for water skiing. In Bahía de Conejos (reachable only by a dirt road), Maguey, Órgano, Cacaluta, Chachacual and San Agustin you will be embraced by the intimacy and privacy of the completely untouched beaches.
