AREAS, TOURING AND NOTABLE PLACES
Archaeological Route in Tlaxcala?s Surrounding Areas ? Departing from the city of
Tlaxcala, take Highway 190 in the direction of Texmelucan

archaeological zone of Cacaxtla, where
you can see amazing murals covering some of
the structures. Among the most

Templo Rojo group of buildings and the
Mural of the Battle. Continue the tour to Xochitecatl,
located behind Cacaxtla. A ceremonial center was built at
the peak of this small

structures is the Pyramid of
the Flowers. Further ahead you?ll

where you?ll find the Palace
of Xicotencatl and a couple multicolored
altars.
